The World is Here!!!

Contrary to what a notable pastor had predicted the world did not end on May 21st.  The world is here.  God has granted us yet more time to live, love, and enjoy this wonderful creation of his, let's make great use of this gift!  Every day is a blessing.  We don't know which one is to be our last.  So breathe deep of the wonderful air, drink the dregs of life, and don't forget to love... Love all you can.  Love every little bit of this glorious world.  Every bird's song, child's laugh, bubbling brook.  Fill your heart with love and enjoy this amazing gift of life!

Awesome

What an amazing idea for a book - a book of awesome!  And now there's a second one out.  I saw the author on the Marilyn Denis show the other day.  He started out just setting up a blog (like this one) and his mom following him (thanks mom - and Evelyn!), and now his second book of awesome is out!  How cool, how joyful, how .... awesome!
And how many things happen everyday that I can choose to see as joyful, as awesome - just the little day-to-day things that happen.  Like today - `1 more sleep` until Jeff comes home.... and even more joyful... it`s going to rain all weekend - so I don`t have to go camping!!!! May long weekend last year when we went camping the weather was good, and then snow snuck in with -4C temps, brrrrrr.  Now, I get to stay with toilets, showers, and best of all - heat!
What an awesome day  :)

When the sun shines

When the sun shines, isn't it so much easier to see things that make you happy? I love when the days get longer and the world looks brighter. The end of this long winter could not have come soon enough for me!
The birds are singing, my tulips are suddenly blooming, like little blossoms of light. It's hard not to smile and be happy!
Today just take time to use your senses and appreciate the glory of spring.

First Joy-full post :)

So today I was wondering, what would the world be like if we all practiced more joy?  What if we all spent even 5 minutes a day just being happy?  Could we change the world, one day at a time?  With a world full of strife & negativity, could we rise above and simply vibrate love, peace, and happiness?  What could happen if eventually every single person in the world did this - what could humanity become?
It sounds simple - but try it.... we are so programmed into negativity that it can be a challenge.
So here's my challenge - to myself, to you, to the world....

A simple reply to my posts, something that makes you happy, fills your soul with joy, expands your emotions.  See if you can come back every day, and do the same.  It doesn't have to be momentous, but it may be.  It could be something as simple as waking up to sunshine on your face in a warm bed, or as great as a new job or new love.  Even on days when nothing seems to be going right, there is always something that we can focus on, even for a few minutes, that will bring us joy - post your daily joy in response here, and see if we can't change our world - or least learn to like it here a lot more ;)
